Add a new user, or change a user role, in Breeze.

Setting correct and secure user roles in Breeze is crucial. It ensures authorized access, streamlines operations, enhances accountability, and supports scalability. By assigning tailored permissions, organizations can safeguard sensitive data, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with privacy regulations effectively.

If you have the User Administration role, the Users menu option will appear in your Breeze menu. Click on the Users menu option (1) to see an overview of which users have access to your Breeze portal. Note the Role (2) and Status (3) of the registered user. To see more information about the user, click on the icon on the right (4). If you wish to add a new user, click on the CREATE A NEW USER button (5).

With the User Administrator task, you can add new Users and manage an already created User account. When you are inside a selected account, you can see what applies to this account.

Note that SEND ACTIVATION LINK TO USER (1) is only displayed if an activation link has not been sent to the user previously (see (2) on the previous image). If a link is sent earlier, then you have the option to resend the activation link if the account is not accitvated.

If a user has activated their account and is unable to access it, they should use the Forgot Password service in the Breeze portal to get a reset link for the account password.

Once a user account is created, the User automatically has access to order ID credentials and accessories. If the user should not have access to ordering in the portal, the account must be deactivated under Actions (4) (Options vary with the account Status).

IMPORTANT! See how to set roles for the User account futher down.

Settings (5) are configurations that can vary per user account. These options can also be set at the portal level but here you are avble to configured these settings independently for each account. To make changes to these settings, you must have the role of Super Administrator. Contact your portal provider to modify these settings if you do not have this roll.

By pressing the MODIFY ROLES button (3), you will see the options for this user account.

User roles and tasks

To create a new User, you need the First Name, Last Name, and Email Address (1) of the person you are registering. It may be useful to fill in the Mobile Number when the User is first registered, but the user can also do this themselves later on. This can be done when they complete an order, or they can go in and change it on their own account. Choose whether the Activation Link should be sent immediately or later. Once the data is registered, press CREATE USER (3)

An active user account always has the right to order ID carriers and accessories. For the user to access additional tasks, each individual account must be set with the correct Role and assigned the appropriate tasks (4).

Tasks list

  • You cannot assign roles higher than the role you have yourself

  • If you are an Administrator (2), you will only see this role and User (1) in the image above

  • You may have the role of Administrator (2) or Super Administrator (3), but not have the Task (4) for User Administration

  • If you are an Administrator or a Super Administrator, and have the User Administration task, you will see the Users menu option in the Breeze main menu - First picture - (1)
